JDP RACING SCHOOL
BUILT FOR THE MOVE TO RACING
The JDP Racing School is a NASA-sanctioned competition program for experienced HPDE 4 and Time Trial drivers ready to move into wheel-to-wheel racing.
Our two-day program combines classroom instruction with realistic, multi-car track sessions designed to develop the racecraft, awareness and decision-making required for competition.
Active instructor participation creates authentic racing situations, allowing drivers to practice starts, restarts, passing, defending and side-by-side driving in a controlled environment.

JDP brings the coaching, equipment and trackside support together, giving you a clear path from improving your first laps to competing wheel to wheel.

Racecraft cannot be fully developed while driving alone.
The JDP Racing School uses active instructors, multi-car traffic, race starts, restarts and changing on-track scenarios to recreate the situations drivers encounter in real wheel-to-wheel competition.
You’ll learn how to maintain awareness, communicate through your driving and make confident decisions while sharing the track with other race cars.
REQUIREMENTS
BEFORE YOU APPLY
• HPDE 4 or Time Trial experience
• Access to an approved race-prepared vehicle
• Current approved driver safety equipment
• NASA membership
• A strong understanding of flags and basic track procedures

Drivers must consistently demonstrate safe decision-making, situational awareness, vehicle control and an understanding of NASA competition procedures throughout the two-day school.
Our instructors provide feedback after each session and multiple opportunities to demonstrate the required skills. Additional training may be required if a driver does not meet the established safety and competency standards.
Every driver approved through the JDP Racing School must demonstrate that they are prepared to compete safely in realistic race traffic.
