Four More Drivers Take the Next Step After JDP Racing School
Our September 15–16 JDP Racing School at Inde Motorsports Ranch brought together drivers ready to take the next step toward wheel-to-wheel racing. Over two days, they moved beyond open track sessions and worked on the decisions, awareness, and car control that matter when they’re sharing the track with a full field.
Since the school, four more graduates are now racing in NASA events. That’s a milestone for each driver and exactly what this program is built to support.

We design the school around real race car situations. Drivers practice side-by-side running, passing and defending, race start and restart procedures, and responding to flags and changing traffic. Our instructors are active on track, creating scenarios that ask drivers to look ahead, leave room, choose a line, and make a decision while other cars are doing the same.
Between sessions, we review what happened and talk through what each driver saw from behind the wheel. Direct instructor feedback help turn those moments into something useful for the next time out. As the exercises build, drivers get more opportunities to apply what they’ve learned with cars around them.

Being fast on an open lap is one skill. Racing well also means understanding where other drivers are, anticipating what might happen next, and staying composed when a start or a pass doesn’t go exactly to plan. Those skills take practice in a setting where drivers can learn, ask questions, and try again.
Congratulations to our graduates, especially the four who have already taken their next step into NASA racing. Thank you as well to our instructors and crew for the work that goes into giving every driver focused attention throughout the school. We’re looking forward to seeing these drivers continue to develop on the grid.

The next JDP Racing School is February 16–17. For experienced track-day and time-trial drivers considering wheel-to-wheel racing, it’s an opportunity to work through race situations with professional instruction before facing them on a race weekend.
